Texting and Driving

Texting and Driving don't mix -

It has become an epidemic of enormous proportions and GA Law now says that texting or using the internet from your phone while driving is against the law.

So the best way to say it is:

Atlanta students are signing their name to a pledge promising not to text and drive.

It's part of a campaign with AT&T and the State of Wisconsin, which has passed a ban on  text-messaging while driving.

"Kids are the ones that are using texting while driving the most, and we want to make sure that they're educated," AT&T's Robyn Gruner said.

Students at High Schools everywhere are signing the pledge not to text and drive because [they] realize how dangerous driving and texting can be.

"If you're going 30 miles an hour, you're going 44 feet in one second, so in that one second you could hit a bicycle, a kid, another car," it is a startling fact to realize one frshman Shannon R. said.

"You never know... If a little kid was crossing the street and you didn't know and you're texting, and then all of a sudden you go and run over them," junior Mike S. said.
